Head for a town with a thriving nightlife

Gros Islet sits in the heart of the hospitality-focused Rodney Bay area and offers tonnes of guesthouses and lodgings, plus superb restaurants, scenic views, and festivals. It’s perhaps best known for its Friday Night Jump Up street party that goes on every week. Rum shops dot the streets, as do local barbecue joints, bars, and pubs. You can walk the Rodney Bay jetty or climb to the observation deck for stunning Caribbean views.
Local resorts offer photo opportunities of sailboats in the bay, while the beach is calm and serene as well as quite family-friendly. Gros Islet is located near the northern tip of the island.

Castries is a bustling small town filled with independent shops, peaceful and quaint town squares, outdoor markets, and a plethora of cultural experiences to enjoy on your island travels. Derek Walcott Square in town is marked by a gigantic 400-year-old Samaan tree. It’s all located along the island’s northwest coast.
The town hosts 2 bazaar-type markets. The first is the Castries Central Market, which offers a farmers market experience and is a century old. Across the street is the Craft Market that is huddled under a big red roof. Both get crowded and vibrant on Saturday mornings. Here you can get local arts and crafts as well as exotic fruits, vegetables, and prepared foods.

Walk a picturesque historic harbour

The small village of Marigot Bay is famed for its gorgeous harbour, one of the most lovely in the Caribbean, the overlook atop its hill, and its waterfront eateries. You can only access the north side of the harbour by taking a ferry, but these run regularly and are quite affordable. The city is also famed for nighttime views of the lights glimmering across the water.
This is a place to explore, whether it’s with your family or your special someone on a romantic getaway. The hilltop views are spectacular and afford plenty of photo ops. It’s located on the northwestern shore of the island.

Soufriere offers a walk back in time amongst one of the most historic towns in St. Lucia as well as a wealth of natural wonders, local eateries, and shopping. You can see many historic buildings in the town square, including the Soufriere church. You can head into the wilds around town and see Sulphur Springs, rainforests with cascading waterfalls, and lush green space.
