History buffs will appreciate Harmony Borax Works, where twenty-mule teams once hauled mineral wealth across the desert. In spring, patient visitors might witness the miracle of wildflowers painting the seemingly barren valley floor.
"Clean but very basic room (no mini fridge, no microwave). Cigarette smoke in the lobby casino area....horrible. But No Smoke smell in the room.....only during check in and going to the bar for morning coffee. Restaurant was little or no smoke smell and great food for the prices!!!"
"It was a good stay, the room is outdated but was clean and we enjoyed our stay. It is the best place to stay and spend time in Death Valley National Park. They also sell fuel there and the prices were so much better than in the Park."
"The property is beautiful aside from the beauty of the park around it. 99% of the staff was fantastic, friendly and welcoming. The person checking me in was not super friendly at all. Did his job but with absolutely no kindness or personality at all. At over $300/ night, some kindness seems a reasonable expectation.
The pool is beyond compare, the room was clean and well equipped.
Would definitely come back and hope for a nicer front desk staff member! "
