There is a one man train running between Kitakami to Yokote where is about 20 min train ride to Omagari.The train station was next to the hotel that was perfect for the early train ride. "The hospitality of Nori-san, Chie, and their family made our stay so enjoyable. They went out of their way to ensure our comfort and shared wonderful details about their beautiful, nutritious, farm-to-table meals. We even got to tour their farm, learn about rice planting, and spot a precious firefly. The house is bright and clean, overlooking rice paddies, with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities. It's also centrally located in Akita, making it easy to visit spots like Lake Tazawa, Dakigaeri Valley, and Kakunodatemachi Samurai district."
