"Was told they were “closed” when I asked for more tissue, I’m not even sure what that meant. Was charged a different price for the cleaning fee upon arrival. Was told the wrong hours for the pool."

"Don't expect to get a cup of coffee before 8am!!! And don't count on getting change if you want to break a bill. Hotel was clean and staffed. It's literally right on Maho Beach. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, great linens. Kitchen but no complementary water. If you want to go across the street to the market and get all of your food and drink, this is the place. On site restaurants offer good food at resort prices. Beware vegetarians...fries, egg roll, salad, and vegetables of the day for you...no alternate proteins. For the price, no real reason to return...bare minimums. "

"We stayed at Sapphire Beach Resort in St. Maarten and unfortunately the first room we were given was very disappointing. It clearly needed renovation, everything looked old and scratched, there was no hot water, and the bathroom is in serious need of a full update. Even the fridge was very outdated and not appealing. This left us with a very negative first impression and affected our first day. We requested to be moved and were given another room, which was much better. It appeared newly renovated, clean, and everything worked properly. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The view from the balcony overlooking the sea was beautiful, and we really enjoyed the beach. The cats around the property were also a nice touch. Overall, the experience was mixed, the initial room was very poor, but the second room, along with the location, beach, and friendly staff, improved the stay significantly."

"Beautiful and clean suite. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You can order taxis from front desk which was very convenient. The view was immaculate and the hotel is right off the beach. No complaints."
