"Amazing location, easy access to ximending and ximen station (300m). The only downfall is the lack of facilities in the building e.g. pool, sauna, limited seating for tea and coffee in lobby area. The hotel is very clean and staff is very hospitable and welcoming. Reception was at 6th floor, no concierge or bell boy to help with luggage. Stayed 2 weeks in this hotel and felt very comfortable. Some reviews said it was noisy but we didnt feel that at all. The hotel it self is quite new and the location and access was the reason we chose this hotel. A little bit more pricier than other 4 star hotels we've stayed at overall, we defintely liked our stay but I wouldnt say we LOVED it.
Pros:
Self service laundry, luggage storage, tea and coffee station, location and the housecleaning.
Cons
limited facilities: no pool, sauna, small gym, no shampoo/conditioner, no toothbrushes. money exchange was challenging as the hotel only accepted certain currencies e.g. USD, EUR, YEN. Any other currencies you need to go to Bank of Taiwan or Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Shopping Mall. No staff assistance with luggage on check in, no concierge, breakfast was not fantastic for the price we paid, reception is on level 6 not on ground floor.

"A superb hotel in every sense. Spacious, comfortable room (I had a city view), wonderful bed, friendly staff, huge breakfast buffet (mine wasn't included but worth paying) and the Olympic sized swimming pool..."
"Hotel location is very good and close to all the amenities. Staffs are very helpful, from helpdesk, housekeeping, etc. Rooms are spacious and clean as expected. They have done a good job maintaining the property. It is an old property but everything works fine and there is no musty or moldy smell. The bed and pillows are great...no smell at all. It means they clean it well.
Only one issue noted. The design of the shower head is a total failure. I dont know how many shower heads are broken on yearly basis. Once the water pressure is off, the shower head fell down to the floor immediately with a loud bang. Too many of those will result in many broken shower head soon. In addition, the shower head handle is in the wrong direction in shower cubicle. It is facing the smaller space in the shower cubicle and not the spacious area. Not the most convenient to shower. To top it all, as the hotel is not providing any shower cap (eco conscious practice), trying to reorient the shower head without shower cap (only by towel) is not the easiest approach.
I was able to get a shower cap from Poya (one multiple use shower cap) since i stayed in the hotel for a week. Maybe the hotel wants to sell it for a fee/small amount to the guess who really need it.
