"Perfect location, clean & modern hotel. Studio room is great and the balcony added so much.
Will recommend and return!
No other features such as pool or gym - it’s about the location "
"Fantastic hotel with absolutely the best staff! We really enjoyed our stay and room. The area is very walkable and Little Jack Horner Cafe down the street has amazingly good breakfast. I highly recommended Coogee Sands Hotel!"
"Our entire stay at Coogee Beach House was great. The hostel is very close to the beach and the bus stops. The hostel is cleaned daily, though it’s really hard to control if some of the other guests are not tidy and considerate.
My fiancé and I stayed in a shared room. The bed was comfortable. I would just suggest that the management separate guests who are purely tourists from those who are staying long-term to make the stay more comfortable. I’ve observed this in other hostels as well, when there are long-term guests, it feels like they take over the whole room as if they own the place. I understand that some are on working holiday visas, but there are guests who are on pure holiday and just visiting.
We also had a safety concern about the hostel. We noticed that the main door wasn’t being locked at night. We discovered that the woman we saw entering at night was homeless and had been seemingly entering the building without restriction for months. We don't know whether the night duty manager is aware of it. So what’s the point of the key the doors aren’t even locked? And we had to pay for $20 key deposit. Although, the hotel manager and the staff addressed this issue immediately. The night manager on duty maybe needs to improve in terms of safety and handling guests’ concerns at night.
Nevertheless, we commend the hostel manager, Daniel and for taking action and addressing our concerns. This is not just for us but for future guests as well, and for his business."
