It's feeding time at the zoo! If you want to be reminded of some of the great animals our world is home to, you might want to pay a trip to Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama, located 5.2 mi (8.4 km) from central Kyoto. Our travelers also like this historical area for its riverfront setting. If you have fun at Arashiyama Monkey Park Iwatayama, you'll love Kimono Forest and Shigureden, both a short walk away.
If you're planning a bit of sightseeing head to Katsura Imperial Villa— just one of the monuments in Nishikyo Ward. Our travelers also love the sacred temples in the area— your cultural tour starts here. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander.
Commune with nature and explore the great outdoors at Bamboo Forest Muko City during your travels in Kyoto. While you're in the area, wander around the parks.
If you want to stretch your legs and breathe in some fresh mountain air, head out to Arashiyama for a bird's-eye view of Kyoto. Kyoto has other popular natural features you might want to visit such as Lake Biwa.
Suzumushi-dera Temple is just one of the places to see in Kyoto, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? Amble around this culturally rich area's picturesque gardens, or seek out the local tours.
Saihoji Temple is just one of the places to see in Kyoto, so why not enjoy the other things to explore during your travels? Amble around this culturally rich area's picturesque gardens, or seek out the local tours.

"Spotless. Decent size for Japan. But you need to move around furniture if you have large suitcases. Book the room with 2 beds if you want more space!"
"
One of the most unique and memorable hotels we’ve ever stayed at. You walk around without shoes, which immediately sets a calming, authentic Japanese atmosphere. The onsen was wonderful, and the breakfast was hands down the best we’ve ever had—an incredible variety and beautifully prepared. Most importantly, the staff especially in the dining room, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our stay truly special. Our kids had a wonderful time. We would absolutely stay here again."
"I stayed in 7 different hotels during my 5 week Asia trip and this would probably rank at 1 or 2. I stayed in the standard twin room (23SQM). The finishes and decor was top notch, and that washroom was so nice. Clean, sleak and had an amazing shower. My 5yr old said he loved the shower. Check in and out took maybe 5 mins each. Staff helped with luggage delivery to our next hotel. Size wise, I would say with 3 ppl and 5 luggages it did make our room a bit cramped. For Japan standards though it was better than our hotel in Tokyo.
Location wise, there's a convenience store, bakery and subway station right outside the hotel."
"A seriously great stsy in the heart of Osaka. Rooms are on the smaller side but nothing unmanageable. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the shower room was amazing. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and the downstairs complimentary tea, coffee and drinks is a nice touch. Would absolutely stay again."
