"Everything was great and on a grand scale, including the price,...best breakfast ever,
Welcoming lobby with living flame fire and coffees on a cold rainy day."
"Comfortable beds, amazing staff. Location is perfect. This is the best breakfast I have had in a hotel, so much choice. Couldn't recommend enough, I stayed in a deluxe double and worth the money."
"Nice hotel in the heart of Tromso , but if your room is facing the pub you won’t be able to sleep till 3am or 4 am !
Some of staff were not friendly and couldn’t speak English ! "
"Really great location, brilliant breakfast that sets you up for the day, the breakfast was from 6-10am, so if you've been out late chasing the lights then you can still have a bit of lay in and get breakfast a bit later. There's a free coffee machine in the comunal area along with some games to pass the time away if needed. Just a 2 min walk from thd red airport bus pickup and drop off point. Roomx were spacious enough for the 2 of us for 4 nights. Yes we would recommend this hotel"
"I stayed at Home Hotel Aurora - a waterfront hotel - for my first solo travel last March 6-9. I chose this hotel for the following reasons:
Complimentary buffet: breakfast, fika (afternoon sweet snacks), and dinner. The food choices were enough to satisfy your palate.
Facilities include a sauna and gym. For an additional 600 NOK, you can enjoy a 30-minute usage of the rooftop jacuzzi.
Location - it's in the middle of Tromsø Havn and it's walking distance to Størgata. The airport bus drop-off/pick-up is a 7-minute walk. Bus stops are 2 minutes away.
Staff - the front desk, especially Analu, is very helpful and friendly.
If you haven't booked your Northern Lights tour, a tour company - Chasing Lights - has a booth in the lobby that can help you.
Rooms - are cozy and I love the layout. I also like how big the bathroom is, especially the sink area where you can lay out all your stuff. If possible ask for any 5th floor room so you will be near the rooftop jacuzzi and sauna.
24/7 coffee/tea bar in the lobby and a choice of still or sparkling water.
Since it's normally a cold-weather country, there's no AC - don't be surprised since you won't need it. The heater is stable and I love that you can control the heater in your room and bathroom separately.
I'm already planning my next vacation in Tromsø and I'm staying here again."
"I want to start by saying that the staff at this hotel are lovely and the hotel is situated in a very good location. However, our TV stopped working on the third night of our stay and some of the power sockets in the room also stopped working. We immediately reported this to the front desk, where we were told that it was likely due to the snow and it would be okay in the morning. The next day the tv and power sockets were still not working, we reported this in the morning and were told it would be looked at. When we returned that afternoon, they were still broken. We reported this again and were told that there were no staff in the hotel who would be able to fix this issue. For the amount of money we paid to stay at this hotel, I am very disappointed that we were not offered an alternative room or any compensation to amend this issue. Until the staff are trained on how to resolve these issues or better solutions can be provided, I would not recommend staying here and will be looking for a partial refund. "
