"Absolutely excellent. Great staff everywhere. The local employees from Cotonou were the very best in courtesy, willingness to assist and offer information. Only one white woman who apparently is “boss” was rude by speaking rudely to an employee that was helping me when she interrupted us and gave him her keys and ordered him to go bring things from a car… employee was very professional and finished his assistance to me before moving on. Staff went above and beyond making me and my son have the best experience ever. Food was amazing. Restaurant staff were amazing. Pool and all surrounding were in great condition. Security was professional and welcoming. My new favorite hotel. And I used to go to the Sheraton that became the Sofitel… the GOLDEN TULIP LE DIPLOMATE exceeded all my expectations. My son and I will go there again on our next trip. "

"I booked for a senior suite. I was placed in a junior suite because even though I had already paid they double booked it and gave it to someone else. I was upset, but they said I’ll be refunded for the difference. I reached out several time to the property, to Expedia and they weren’t able to help. Even tho I was given a receipt with the amount to be refunded. Now I am filling a claim with my bank. Additionally, the food was terrible, they only have one iron on the entire property which I needed and they came back to take it whenever someone else needed it. The receptionist was rude. bathroom was not equipped with shampoo, conditioner or body wash. The bidet in the bathroom was broken so was the toilet and I would not used it my entire time on the property. "
