"Rooms are spaced, we requested linens to be changed every 3 rd day but they changed only once for 8 days, Some days they haven’t changed garbage bags, they don’t supply coffee to the rooms.Onsen was clean but sometimes overcrowded .Food was tasty but menu was always the same. My wife had foods poisoning from the mushrooms and couldn’t come for the breakfast the staff member was screaming and yelling when I asked her just for a slice of toast to take in our room. Only one staff on the reception was able to communicate on English language, and she brought a slice of bread, they didn’t have a scale to check the weight of the luggage…Overall not impressive experience…."
"Amenity choices are wide. The frontdesk staff is super polite and efficient. The location and parking area is closed to main train station which is very convenient. The parking fee is ¥800 which is even lower than some smaller city. Good deal!"
"Had a really good stay here! The pictures online do no justice. Great location - amazing Mountain View’s from the room and dining spaces (better than in Hakuba), Very clean, amazing staff, good food! No regrets. They actually exceeded my expectations here! Would definitely return"
"They, the staff, exceeded my expectations . Courteous, helpful, kind and pleasant are words that I would use to describe them. Everyone greets you with a bow and civility, right down to the hardest workers in the hotel. For that, i will surely come back. My stay at the Prince Hotel East was worth every yen and then some. I originally was suppose to stay at the Sunvalley Hotel, in Shiga Kogen. I lost my reservation there due to payment issues. I was hesitant about coming to the Prince Hotel. It was my first time. The room i stayed in was probably one of the best i have seen for the price. The next time I am in Shiga Kogen, i am staying at the Prince Hotel East, without a doubt."
