This hotel met the the main criteria I have for being a good hotel. Fast WiFi, a hot powerful shower, and a good cooked breakfast. I also liked the decor of the bedroom, and how friendly the staff were. I'd happily stay here again.

Great Hotel ideal for a weekend walking in the Peak District. Great Staff, great breakfast and a good selection of evening meals, a lovely Pub to relax with a drink after a hard day trekking. Ample free Parking was a massive bonus, as Castleton is a busy little place at the weekends.

Warm, comfortable and friendly

Very welcoming and homely. The food was really good, and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were well appointed with a very comfortable bed. We stayed on a Sunday evening, and thoroughly enjoyed the pub quiz. We will deffo stay again

Warm welcome, room was spotless and decorated beautifully, however this room has own entrance on st and the traffic noise was horrendous, no sleep at all . Would stay again but not this particular room

A good location

We were happy with the room we had in that it was comfortable, spacious and clean. We weren’t however expecting the room to be next to the pub. There was a window which looked straight out onto the street so we had to keep the blinds closed. The traffic was fairly noisy in the morning but not a big problem for us. We had good service at breakfast but found the choice to be fairly limited.
