Red Garter Casino and Hotel

The hotel was not very secure, outside door anyone could enter no card swipe and even from the casino area to the hotel any one could enter. No top latch on room door that most hotels have. The room had the smoke detector missing in a non smoking room. No mini fridge and limited electrical outlets had a cpap machine and needed to plug it in had to unplug a lamp. The king size bed was worn out and very firm no pillow top. Pillows were terrible completely flat or lumpy. Two night stay and only towels for one night and house keeping didn’t come by until you checked out. Would not recommend staying here.

Run down hotel

I was staying there to see a concert. Had a non smoking room, all the rooms in that wing were, the the aisle reeked of smoke. The hotel is old,and needs to be renovated. Service in the restaurant was slow. I won’t be staying there again.

Last choice

There is no pool as advertised - you can use the one at the sister property, the Nugget, but it is about a mile away, not walkable and not convenient at all. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the pool and dining options but no pool and one restaurant. Coffee shop was not open any of the 5 days that we were there. I was told to get free coffee from the bar, but the bartender wanted to charge me $3.50. Asked for a wheelchair accessible room (traveling with my 90 year old father in law) but did not get it. Bathroom was clean but very small and hard for him to use. Pillows were comfy but beds were just okay. Large pile of dirt with metal and chunks of concrete right putside the window. Exterior doors to the hotel were not locked anytime. Very strong smell of weed almost constantly. The property was convenient to Bonneville Salt Flats, where we were spending our time, but if there were other hotels with availability, I would have moved.

Sad to say that our room was horrible. No AC, no fridge, elevator not working, remote didn't work. We have always like this hotel. Staff called for our ac to he prepared, but maintenance never showed up. Slept in at least 85 degrees.

Pillows were so thin. 1 available outlet behind the table by the bed . Lamps and other things were unplugged . The door made a noise all night from the air.

It was nice. The place is old but clean. The elevator does not work. We were on the 2nd floor. Stairs have 17 steps lol. I love the casino not crowded at all so not much smoke or noise. Prices are a lot better than other places down the street. The restaurant has resonably priced food and it was good. I will go back again
