I booked a one night stay which I pre-payed for. I booked the day of my stay as I was on my way to the area and knew I’d need a place to stay that evening. I arrived after midnight, exhausted from a long drive, and instead of receiving a hospitable welcome, I was immediately and rudely informed that I would likely be charged a “late fee” as I checked in after their “check-in window.” They insisted I should have called to confirm that I would be arriving so late. Again, I pre-payed and booked day of. If they had any question my arrival, they had my phone number and could have called me.
The clerk was flat-out rude and was likely too high or drunk to care. A fine hotel, terrible customer service.
