As soon as I walked into the main lobby, I had a bad feeling. It was very dark, messy and smelly. Although the room was pre-paid, the desk clerk wanted to run my credit card for possible incidentals, which I thought was unnecessary. But I complied. We got to the assigned room and found the bed messed up, the soap in the bathroom was open and on the sink and a towel appeared to be used. There was no fridge and the room was falling apart. I went to the front desk to demand a different room because of our findings. The clerk acted in disbelief and needed to see for himself. After confirming the condition of our assigned room, he apologized several times and re-assigned us to a different room, which was slightly better but still terrible. We were totally uncomfortable, and left very early the next morning. It is unclear why Wyndham has their name associated with this establishment. I should have tried to get a refund.
