Staff was excellent however, when I got into bed for the night, I found that there was sand at the foot of my bed. Other than that the hotel and the room was very clean.

Parking was easy. Hotel has nice sandy beach and pool. Not as bad as some reviews I saw but it is old and outdated and there are stains on carpet and furniture and some hallway areas not well vacuumed. Breakfast area clean and adequate. Nice pancake maker. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room comfortable.

Check in issues, but overall a good stay

Per Hotels.com, check in time was 3:00pm. We came from 3 hours away, so we didn’t arrive until about 4:30pm. Upon arrival, we had to wait in the lobby for about 10 minutes before someone came to help us. Once an attendant came, she informed us that our room was not ready, and we would need to wait 20 more minutes. We came back about 30 minutes later, and there was no attendant at the desk. We didn’t end up checking in until about 6:00pm. However, she did extend our checkout to 12:00pm (instead of 11:00am) for this mishap. Overall, for the price of the hotel, it was a decent room and it was wonderful being right on the water. The hotel had a very large and clean private beach.

Overall, OK beachfront property.

Just wish they were upfront about the pet fee. Hotels.com just said it's pet friendly. Still not a horrible price, but which was more upfront. It's $25 dog by the way. Some of the electrical outlets in the room didn't work; and the toilet was leaking. What would I say again for beachfront access for a good price? Yes, I would

I do not recommend unless you enjoy urine smell

It was a nice stay. The gentleman at the front desk was absolutely AMAZING! Very informative and was able to multitask like it was no one’s business. I’m a CNA and don’t know how he did it. DEFINITELY deserves a raise! We found our room very easy and the key card worked about 75% of the time but as far as that it was great. Until we got into our room. The sheets looked like they haven’t been washed in months. Oily fingerprints and smears everywhere. The outlets were so weak that the phone chargers would fall out. The fridge never got cold and we turned it up all the way. We didn’t have much toilet paper left in our room. Mattresses were so bad that even if you sat down it felt like you sat on a trampoline. You bounced every which way. Comforters and sheets smelled really bad. The pool area reakes of urine and feces. It was pretty bad.

The only good thing was the beach!

Awful experience! Room was musty smelling and the carpet was very damp.Mattress was too small for bed frame and my husband kept hitting his leg on it. See photos. Room was dusty and dirty. Found pet and pubic hairs. Multiple dogs in rooms and they were barking frequently. Smell of marijuana on premises. Front-desk staff did not communicate well. Stayed for 2 nights and got locked out second day and had to have new cards made. No apologies. We had several friends stay here who also had terrible experiences. We will not be back! We will likely not ever use hotels.com again. What a terrible experience.

Older motel but owners were improving it.

Our room was clean. We could tell that they were fixing up the motel. They were painting outside. The carpet looked new but could have been vacuumed. Beach was very nice.

NASTY! THEY STEAL! NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!

Where do I start, I’m pretty sure they stole my wallet, horrible staff etiquette, refused us room service and then told us we had to tell them up front a day before, had to blatantly ask for my deposit back they wouldn’t have given back if I hadn’t. staff checking us out knew what he was doing and acted like he was foiled when we asked for it back. Overall horrible experience. Don’t bring anything valuable to this place or it will get stolen and the camera footage will suddenly disappear. Some staff was okay but most had horrible attitudes. Manager sat on call for 6 mins while we were asking to see the cameras. Just horrible experience. Nasty looks from staff in hall for no reason, just made our vacation a lot harder to enjoy and I guess that was their plan. So disappointing because we even told them it was our first vacation and they couldn’t have cared less. Never will be back here and I have told anyone I know to never go here. Glad to be gone, loved the beach access and hot tub though. That’s literally it. Continental is a half working pancake maker and whatever they can get at Walmart down the road.
