8/10 Very good

This hotel was close to the train and only 1 stop away from my daughter’s new apartment. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Japanese and had my daughter with me for check in. I accidentally booked a smoking room. The desk clerk assured us that it won’t be a problem to switch if I don’t like my booked room. I didn’t like the smokiness of the 1st room, he must have assumed that I wouldn’t, because he had the next room key ready when we returned to the lobby. The room decor is a little dated, but very clean. I was pleasantly surprised to have a refrigerator. Pleased with the bathroom; bidet and DEEP tub. I enjoyed the peaceful quiet. I couldn’t even hear housekeeping in the morning. As for the lobby amenities, I didn’t have a chance to utilize any of them. The area had plenty of eateries within close proximity. Next visit, when I’m not helping set up an apartment, I’ll do more within the hotel. Staff was always pleasant and willing to help. Definitely will book again.
