We had a reservation, but called and cancelled when American Airlines cancelled our flight...due to weather and lack of staff...no fault of ours. The hotel charged us for a late cancellation, which is understandable. When the airline allowed us to fly on standby, we went to the hotel hoping to be able to stay in our room anyway. When we arrived , we were told there were no rooms available, and our room had been rented, which is understandable. BUT, they would not refund our $, which is NOT good customer relations. Basically, WE PAID for a room that we couldn't stay in, and another guest paid for the same room and stayed in it!! They should have offered to refund our $ in this situation...but they didn't. So, we had to go next door and "beg" the other hotel to let us stay... Riverwalk should know better and do better.....
