Charming, Clean, Comfortable

My needs were simple for one night stay - room was clean, bed and pillows were comfy, water temperature was hot and pressure was good; AC was in good working order, too. The property is situated in a neighborhood so all windows opened to neighbors - it didn't matter for my stay or needs. I loved the potted plants, the pineapple entry rugs, and the smallness of it all. Not a big box hotel and that was fine with me. I didn't make it to breakfast, but I'd stay again for comfort and the rate, plus location - just up the road from the Roundup, near the Pendleton Woolen Mills, too.

Great stay!!

We had a very nice time in Pendleton and The Rugged Country Inn didn’t disappoint! It was clean, comfortable, and cozy w a really good TV to watch football at night! The breakfast was simple but very adequate and the staff were friendly and helpful! Would recommend any time!

Off the beaten path.

This hotel is slightly off the freeway but well worth the effort. They are reasonable, clean and friendly. The bed and pillows are comfortable. I slept 7.5 hours last night. They also have a variety of breads and cereal for breakfast.

Better than we even expected

This place was a great stay. Quaint and close to a lot of the things we wanted to see. Super friendly and helpful staff. Felt like a European hotel. Loved the fact they had a real key for the room. The bed was really comfortable too. Definitely a place I would stay again.

Great place, great price

Great place for the price. Room was very clean. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast offered was pretty basic but clean and fresh. The only complaint, although it was a nice mattress, room stated queen bed but pretty sure the bed was a full size. For a quick stay in Pendleton this is a solid option.

It had a very nostalgic feel, including an actual metal key. The price was fair, bed was comfortable, both staff members I interacted with were friendly. The room was clean, had a small fridge as well as a microwave. They had breakfast from 6-9, recommended a local place for dinner.

Wow! This small but amenable lodge was far superior to chain hotel/motel places we have stayed at during our road trip. Clean, comfortable, friendly.... what a difference! Did I mention clean, comfortable and friendly... let's add safe, quiet, and homey! Time for breakfast!
