Room was clean but saw the second day that the carpet was wet all around the a/c unit..tv had to be reset first day.

the front desk called me to ask when I was going to check in. This was around 8:30 PM. I said I would be there is under 15 minutes. The desk clerk said great. Less than 10 minutes later i arrived. desk clerk had left sign up that he was on a 15 minute dinner break. About 20 minutes later he appears from back to check me in. I am given a third floor room. This is a big hotel with at least 100 rooms. parking lot has maybe 15 cars in it. I make first trip to room with luggage cart. I return to elevator but homemade sign says button isn't working so I need to use stairs. I tell clerk after coming down to move my car that luggage cart is still on third floor. He says, "Oh, because of the button thing. No worries." Why are they putting people on third floor in an empty hotel when elevator doesn't work? And what is asking when I will arrive then leaving desk? Hotel was okay but thought I was in a slacker comedy.
