We had a late flight out of Boston, didn’t get into Portland OR until 10:15 PM. By the time we picked up our luggage and got our car rental it was after 11PM. I had made several phone calls to Carson Hot Springs Resort prior to the trip, explain we would be a very late arrival (some time after 12PM). The resort said the wound email is a virtual key the evening of our stay because they do not have over night staff. We got to the resort around 12:15 AM. Bad WiFi prevented us from accessing our virtual key. We were stuck, no overnight staff to assist us. We found a poster inside a locked door that in very small writing said in case of emergency call this number. We called, woke up a very nice woman who looked up our room number (which we didn’t have, and talked us through opening the door to our reserved room. When we did open the door the roo was not made up. There were no linens n the bed, pillows w/o pillow cases were on the floor alone with a crumpled up bed spread. The bathroom was not cleaned, an empty roll of TP on the TP roller. Basically the room had been stripped and never made up. It was now after 1:00 AM. The woman we spoke to on the phone came in and found us another room. This whole mess didn’t get resolved until around 2:30 AM. We had a wedding breakfast to go to at later that morning. When I went to the front desk to officially register after a few hour of sleep. The staff were unapologetic about our early morning fiasco.
