Never using this hotel again

Check in took longer than an hour. Lobby and hallways a mess with renovations and no cleaning done. Same mess at heck in was there at checkout and more. Room was open when entering after check in. Painters tape everywhere. Someone’s lunch was left in the room. Credit card machine did not work. Needed a walker accessible room but the hall was littered with dry clothes, painting supplies and other renovation material. Very noisy from renovations ongoing at all hours. Very disappointing stay. 5 nights of very restless sleep and days filled with worry if my room would be entered due to doors being left open for renovations. Garbage strewn outside front door and never picked up. Worst hotel experience ever.

The toilet paper holder fell off when touched. The towel bar fell off when touched. The coffee maker was missing parts so could not be used to make coffee. The TV did not work as not connected to anything. The continental breakfast had hard boiled eggs at room temperature, not on ice as they should be kept. They people we were traveling with had no pillows in there room. No TV at all in the room. A light hanging by wires. Yes the hotel was under renovation but they should not have been accepting guest as they were clearly not ready to properly have people staying there

The hotel was under renovation and we were not informed at any point after booking. When i checked into my room furniture was missing, the walls were half painted, and there were no covers on the oultets. I had no phone, no bedside table, no lamps, no garbage can or recycling. When i asked them to fix the issue i was met with pushback and lack of willingness to help. Through our entire stay the place was naoisy with renovation noise and the halleays were crowded with reno supplies and difficult to walk down.

Not as advertised in pictures

They are in the process of renovating but the room we got was not as advertised. I had booked a room with 2 Queen beds and got a room with double beds. No headboard on the beds and walls were stained. The bedding was clean, bathroom sink and toilet were new. Breakfast room was not attended to very often, tables weren’t wiped and little or nothing was restocked. Was hard to even find as they have no signs.

Fool me once

We had booked 2 queen beds, upon arrival we went to check in and were told two doubles or come back at 3 and get two queens. So we went back at 3 and were told yes two queens until payment was completed then they said two doubles. So we asked for a refund and was told only 1 night out of two would be refunded. But I wasn't ok with that being lied too twice. Eventually we were given a full refund and then booked a beautiful suite elsewhere.

I understand a hotel going through renovations. However, this hotel needs to shut down while they do that. The rooms really should have been uninhabitable. The saving grace was the bed was comfortable. Had to have maintenance, and chisel out my door frame, so the door would actually close and be secured. Not a great experience at all.

This was the final straw.

This was an overnight with my husband and Pomeranian dog. I’ve stayed here on and off for a while but the previous stay was unpleasant and this last visit was the worst. There were questionable brown stains on the bathroom floor around the toilet, the beds were not on a bed frame, and the outside could be see through the crack of the AC. The hotel is supposed to be undergoing renovations however with the broken towel bar in the bathroom (no picture) and the multiple grossness of the room this will be a no go for me.

Economy price but experience below low

For the price I expected a basic accomodation. But this did not even meet that level of expectation. Renovations were going on as the motel has been bought out. So maybe things will improve in the future. The room was very stuffy and AC did not work. The tv reception was ghosting with double images. Wifi was so slow I was unable to call up emails. Most disappointed was the lack of interest or friendliness of the staff. My phone was briefly misplaced in the morning and I retraced my steps back to the room. When I went to the front desk to inquire if it had been turned in the only response was "lots of people around, probably it has been stolen". They did not even offer to take down my information incase it was turned in. Luckily I found it in the parking lot it had dropped from a bag carrying items. Sometimes a little empathy goes a long way when people are stressed. I, however, was met with indifference.
