The room was OK, decor was nice although it did have a musty smell, but that’s pretty common in some older properties. Make sure you bring conditioner if you need it because both of the containers in the shower are both shampoo. It’s not the most soundproof, as I could clearly hear the neighbours below me. It seems to be more of a party hotel with the guest that I have seen there. I did address it with the front desk and she was there almost immediately, and it did quiet down for the most part. Luckily I had a heater/fan on to block out any sounds after a while. The continental breakfast wasn’t anything great other than toast and yogurt. The rest I didn’t care for, as I found the baked goods to be pretty stale. The owners were very nice though, it just wasn’t my cup of tea overall.

I'm not usually someone who leaves a bad review, but I would have to say the Alpine was subpar. The room smelt musky and the positioning of the AC made it difficult to cool the room down. The t.v was a pain in the behind to operate as the cable box was mounted on the wall below the desk so you had to sit on the edge of the bed to change the channel. The shower curtain was ripped and there was painter's tape on the ceiling in the shower holding a crack together. There also was no hand soap, so we were using what we think was the shampoo or body wash (hard to tell as they were both the same color) from the shower. I recognize that I should have contacted the front desk with my concerns; however, having just drove for 7 hours I needed to sleep more than I needed to complain :-) On the bright side, the bed was super comfortable.

Overall, this was a good hotel for one night. I am giving this rating based on the fact that I didn’t feel it was super clean. The room had an interesting smell and there were spiders above the curtains. I’m also not sure if the air conditioner is cleaned or the last time it was because we woke up very stuffy in the morning. Other than that, this hotel was fine.

Our room was clean and good shape. Wi-Fi was terrible. Looked like full bars but had to turn it off to get Expedia review page to load! 15 minute walk to the center of town worked for us, might be a bit far for others. It took us a couple of minutes to find the check in since they’re using one of the rooms for a lobby while they renovate the actual lobby. Check in staff was polite and efficient, but a smile and hello would have been nice, too. In all fairness, she seemed a little harried.

Had a kitchenette stovetop was greasy and unwashed. We had to rewash dishes before we used them. Very dusty you can tell it hasn’t been done in a while… I think it comical this property wants to charge their guests for not cleaning up after themselves($20) fee but I had to clean up after your staff, so they clearly don’t check. When I first pulled in I thought this is where I’m staying for the next 4 days, Yikes!
