Practical and Convenient - Almost Perfect

The Hitching Post has such potential, and I wish they would see it. The set up is so cute; a little bit of artistic design, and this place would be an even bigger hit! As far as the stay, it was good. Nothing too extravagant. We've stayed here a couple of times, and probably will again since we have a few upcoming appointments in Santa Cruz (it's about a 4 hour drive one way for us). Nothing looks dirty, but sometimes I wonder if I should bring my own sheets . My husband and I have slept comfortably, but my in-laws have complained of not sleeping well both times. We got a room that had a separate kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave and kitchen sink. If you plan on staying a couple nights, bring your supplies and take advantage of it. The neighborhood looks a little shady, but we felt safe. Not loud, not dirty.

I booked this last minute after reading the reviews. Turned out to be a pleasant stay. Very quiet for being sold out. Beds were comfy and the kitchen was convenient. Found the cleanliness exceptional. I had read a couple of negative reviews but found none to be true during my stay.
