Solo in Toronto for 3 nights

Very basic accommodations. On the edge of Chinatown, it offers a wide range of dining options and nightlife, and is in walking distance to nearly everything in Toronto, in addition to being a block from the Dundas trolly line. Property consists of 3 (I think) brownstone type buildings. I stayed in #33, which seems to have been recently renovated. It was very clean, and the room was spacious for one person. The room did not have any glasses, but did have a small fridge and a microwave. Not many flat surface areas to put things, no bedtable, etc. But still, the value was absolutely there given the price of hotels in Toronto. There is no parking on site, but plenty of lots nearby. I would absolutely stay here again.

If you just need a place to sleep near downtown in chinatown with walking distance to grocery and restaurants also convenient public transportation, this is it. For its price in the area, I’d prefer to stay here again than other hotels.. bed, bathroom, microwave and fridge is all i need.. the neighbours noise can be tolerated and no elevator so if you’re bringing a 20kg luggage, you’d have to carry that on a 10-15 steps stairs that is quite tight.. room size is decent for solo travellers, very thankful for the electric fan in the room and i must mention how staff was very helpful and friendly on check-in. It was pretty late too and i was accompanied to my room. I’ll definitely stay here again next time~

The room does not match the description. There is no competent staff. When they come after being called through the intercom, they give vague answers and redirect us to someone else, who only told us that we had one extra night left instead of solving the problem. Yet, we had booked for two nights. Moreover, in the description and when choosing the accommodation, we specifically selected the option with two single beds and one double bed for personal reasons. However, they gave us two double beds instead, which was very uncomfortable. We chose and paid for that option because it was the one that suited us best. The beds are also extremely hard: you wake up with back pain and it is impossible to get a good night’s rest. On the second night, at 4:56 AM while we were sleeping, someone opened the door to our room. When we asked him, he said he was looking for his accommodation. We had to guide him for about ten minutes before he understood that this was not his place and that his accommodation was in the other house. This clearly shows that some of their keys can open other rooms, which is extremely concerning for safety. In addition, there were no towels or basic amenities. This place is definitely to be avoided. Stay away from the houses at 31 and 33 Avenue Grance. Our stay was horrible.

No muy buena la habitación muy pequeña para tres personas muy básica, nada de nada eso significa las camas una mesa el frigo y el microondas. Estuvimos cuatro noches y ni vaciaron la papelera. La habitación estaba congelada no podamos controlar el aire acondicionado. Una joya pero la dueña muy simpática y atenta no todo iva hacer malo y si te gusta lo chino este es tu sitio

Small and cosy. Location is excellent.

For a solo traveller, this place is not too bad. The location is excellent as it’s only a 10 min walk into the downtown area. Parking a vehicle behind the accomodation was adequate for $15 a night. The size of the room is quite small including the private bathroom. It’s good for just putting your luggage down and go exploring the city by foot, bus and train. If you’re not fussy on the size of your room, this place is worth it due to its location.

Foldable beds - be advised

For the price we paid, we expected at least proper beds instead of foldable ones. Unfortunately, they were quite uncomfortable, which really affected our stay. The plumbing also left a lot to be desired—it seemed poorly done and was very noticeable. The place was very clean, which we appreciated.

Pas appréciable du tout, nous étions dans une petite chambre au sous sol qui ressemblait à une cave. Nous avons mal dormi, beaucoup de tapage dans les autres chambres. Personnel sympathique mais arrivés à 15h et pas avant sinon ils pendent la tête jusque par terre. 35 minutes pour trouver nos clés, ils ne savaient plus où ils les avaient mise. Le Check in se fait au téléphone. Bref, pas top.

Une température polaire dans la chambre

L'hôtel est très bien situé proche de centres d'intérêts. La chambre était propre et la literie correcte. De ce point de vue le rapport qualité prix est très bien. Mon séjour a été gaché par la température de la chambre. C'était un véritable frigo! J'ai du dormir avec pull, pantalon et chaussettes...

Chinatown stay

It was good for the price, but you had to pay extra per night for parking it’s not included. There were also stains on the sheets and no one would answer for check in for about 10 min. Overall it was good right by nice places though. ALSO housekeeping does not knock so be prepared for that.
