Lovely stay for 3 nights :))

+ve: Very pleasant stay overal. Small boutique hotel in tasteful, simple, classic design. Oldest building in town renovated to very modern standard. So nice around you won't feel need any company even travelling solo. Perfect location, buses from outside Stratford just steps away. Middle of the town for all attractions just within 3-10 minutes walk. Nice cookies, milk, 2 bottles of water, good tea bags free in room, very thoughtful! Very good breakfast cooked to your order with good porridge, black pudding, poached eggs, nice toast... Hotel staffs attend to your needs almost instantly. Saturday market selling specialties just cross the street. -ve: Steps on each floor not nice for wheelchairs. I have special preference for hard beds & theirs are far too soft for me. Have window but no view in room. Small parking lot.

Weekend break

We were in a 'cosy' room at the far end of the hotel which meant it was generally quiet. Disappointed that there was no carpark or vouchers for the local parking so a 2 night stay had an additional charge for carpark that we weren't expecting. There was no information about this when we booked. Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order.

Good and bad

Location was perfect for shopping and restaurants. Our room was OK, bed was comfortable. We were given a handicap room next to the elevator, which we did not request or need. The bathroom was large but when taking a shower water was everywhere in the bathroom. The voice in the elevator could be heard in our room every time some one used it and overall the room was small and very dark, even with lights turned on. I did appreciate the history of the building and the breakfast was delicious.

Perfekt fußläufig zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten, Zentrum und Bahnhof. Traditionshotel mit Charme, einige Zimmer allerdings mit hässlichem Ausblick (Zimmer 205). Service und Motivation der Staff je nach Person, insgesamt ausbaufähig, z. B. Unterstützung beim Koffertragen bei defektem Lift und entlegenem Zimmer in der zweiten Etage wäre eine naheliegen Idee.

Good stay

We had a good stay at The White Swan. The standard room which we booked was smaller than I expected but I checked with the receptionist as I thought they may have given us a 'cosy' room by mistake; she confirmed it was a standard. It was closed to everything we needed. Breakfast was good. We went out for dinner so can't comment on that.

A fun ovrnight in Stratford

An amazing hotel. Very clean and well maintained with lots of intersting touches such as the quotes by each door. Excellent facilities in the room which was very comfortable and very clean and tidy. Staff were very polite and helpful and the food was really good. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Outstanding hotel

This historic olde world hotel was full of character and history, including authentic wall paintings in the restaurant Our visit was enhanced by the wonderful welcome by all of the White Swan staff. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The quality of the food was outstanding along with the variety of beverages on offer at the bar and restaurant.
