Trip had a lot of hiccups, some the hotel's fault, some not. We received a text from the hotel telling us there could be road closures due to the MD Cycling event, but what they did not tell us was that the route was right in front of the hotel, therefore there was NO access to their parking garage or valet. Had to park 5 blocks away and walk in. Not exactly your normal Four Seasons arrival experience wheeling your luggage down the street. For the price we pay, you would think they would have a shuttle ready to roll.
Next issue was at the pool. Pool was filthy (see photo). Like worse than I have seen at a mediocre hotel. There was also a spotted lantern fly infestation in the area, most notable by the pool (see photo).
Breakfast at Maximon (a popular upscale south american restaurant) was horrible. My French toast tasted stale, and my wife's dish (Nortena) was very 'sour' tasting.
I will say all of the employees at the our Seasons were their usually professional selves, from the doormen to the reception staff, to the servers. But they really missed the mark on keeping the facilities clean and up to Four Seasons quality.
