Good location, blocks from Chinatown. Room was clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good. Elevator is vintage. Lobby is beautiful. All in all, very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

I really enjoyed everything about it, its Very old fashioned and nice! The room was nice and spotless. I was on the 5th floor, the view was good in my room. The bed was nice and comfy. Bathroom was clean. Customer service was nice and professional. NOW the reason i wont give it 5 stars is the parking situation... that's probably THE ONLY issue... the parking garage they "offer" is small and narrow for most vehicles to fit through so i had to park around the corner and pay 70$ overnight fee for a parking garage. Now given it was Santa Bar night (Dec 13th) so that probably drove the cost waaaay up for the garage but still... the hotel should team up with a parking garage nearby to get some sort of discount for the people staying there at the Mayflower... Parking is a Nightmare but other than that... Its a REALLY cool hotel😁

We chose the Mayflower because of its proximity to the Masonic Auditorium, where we were going to a concert. It’s only a block and a half away, although seemingly 1,000 feet in elevation. While the Mayflower is a very old property, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was what one expects from a free hotel breakfast. It was “fine”. Free parking is also a big plus IF you can get your vehicle into and out of the tightest tunnel I have ever experienced. I have a Mazda 6 and it barely fit, and I mean barely. But they are very upfront about it so just know that if you have anything larger than a Mazda 6, forget about it. One other issue I’ll mention are the electronic keys. We had multiple issues with them, but again the staff responded quickly and made it work. Overall this was an incredible find and if there’s another concert at the Masonic that we want to enjoy, we would stay there again in a minute. With the caveats mentioned above, I give the Mayflower a very positive recommendation.

Beautiful, amazing, and very comfy. We enjoyed the breakfast alot! And staff were very helpful and kind overall best experience of my trip so far. Other hotel on the way to san francisco were so rude and not hospitable. This hotel was super refreshing!

Everything inside the room was fine. It was comfortable and clean. The only issues were that I heard sirens two or three times per night. Also, the hotel is old, and the rooms have not been updated. That didn’t bother me, because I had everything I needed. And for the price it was unbeatable!

Very goods service in reception. We could check in early, and at departure day we could store the suitcases for free. Breakfast is lacking dairyproducts. Cleaning under the beds leave room for improvement. Very nice to have a fridge and glasses at the room. Value for money.
