The person on duty could find no record of our booking so contacted the owner who persistently denied that a booking existed, despite being shown evidence to the contrary. Eventually the person on duty booked us into sn available room on the basis that we'd settle the finances later. It was also impossible to log in to the hotels.com website as the security code was rejected and very slow being sent.

It’s fine for an a couple of nights stay. I really appreciated the fridge and microwave in the room. My radiator in the bathroom was stuck on all night, I could have flashed this but didn’t as I was in the room for a relatively short amount of time overnight

In my line of work, I found that Ricky Road was perfect for ease of moving around Watford and the surrounding areas using public transport or by car. Blackout curtains would have been useful due to working nights, but you can't have it all. All in all I enjoyed my stay 10 out of 10

Gastgeber Marek war super freundlich und hilfsbereit und sehr um unser Wohlergehen bemüht. Aus diesem Grund empfehlenswert. Allerdings war ich etwas entsetzt über sog. Bäder: in unserem Zimmer war das Handwaschbecken so klein, dass man nicht mal richtig die Zähne darüber putzen konnte. Auch da die Rohrleitungen nicht abgekoffert und offen sind, fand ich befremdlich. Das zweite gemietete Zimmer hat extrem nach Feuchtigkeit und wahrscheinlich Schimmel gerochen. Das müsste grundsaniert werden.

Homely guest house

We really enjoyed our stay at Ricky Road Guest House. Nice self-service continental breakfast. We also had a fridge and kettle in our room which was nice when traveling with kids especially. Really friendly and helpful host.

Comfy accommodation

Comfortable guesthouse in Watford, very friendly manager & owner. Short walk to Watford overground station. Bathroom was compact, hand basin too small. Other facilities included microwave and fridge in our room which was handy. I would happily return ☺️

Need touching up in places. One of the lamps didn't work .i had difficulties getting up the stairs has was on the second floor due to my knee .clean rooms. nice continental breakfast .and friendly staff
