Remote check-in went slowly but fine. It was annoying though. AC is extremely loud. Doors only have one lock, which is nerve-wracking for a woman traveling alone and staying in a motel situation. No coffee machine or desk in the room also a huge detractor.

This was the first time I was ever greeted by a virtual receptionist. She was beamed in from another country when I checked in. The room itself is decent. When I walked into the bathroom, it turned out that one of the rolled up towels was in the toilet and since there’s no staff there, there’s no one to tell about it. I did email what I thought was customer service and they asked me which hotel I was at. So it seems customer service is third-party. If you don’t mind these things, and can’t resist the price, just bring a yellow bandanna or something to cover the awfully bright white lights by the bed and a little scented candle to cover the smell of bleach cleaner.

It’s clearly a previous motel property but as of currently The LEEF Hotel has clearly updated the property to a way more modern/boarderline luxury stay for a fraction of the price of typical LA hotel. 10/10, clean rooms, conveniently located, cheap security deposit, modern style bathroom, fridge and hanger space. Would stay again!

The Leef was a great stay. I grew up in this area, and this used to be one of the ghettoist hotels in the area; it was a druggy hotel in super rundown condition, so when searching for somewhere to stay while visiting I was pleasantly surprised to see this location refreshed into something new. It looks like officially taking reservations for fully operational property as of Feb. 2026. So needless to say everything was new, updated and well maintained. The property has 16 guest rooms and a private parking lot, the lobby is very small and they use a kiosk for check in, this is a popular option for hotels who don't have 24/7 front desk - however this is the first hotel I have seen kiosk only. The process was very simple; there is a GSA on the kiosk and they walk you through everything, and you sign on the screen. Parking costs $10/night. There is a small outdoor seating area with small fountains that were really nice to just sit and enjoy the nice evening weather. We had a room near the front, there was parking right near our room. Each room is equipped with a keypad locking system, which is active at check in until check out. When checking out you just notify the kiosk that you are checking out of your room and they will deactivate your room lock and send your folio via email. They have onsite housekeeping; they service the rooms every 2 days unless you ask, we were able to exchange towels while they were servicing other rooms and that is all we needed. The room was clean but very small and spartan. The bed also feels like a futon and I had to get my back adjusted later in the week because it was so painful. The virtual check-in is also more than a little weird and the keypad lock locked me out twice. There’s much more comfort for a similar price nearby. Expedia/hoteks.com should put a warning on the hotel posting. I also think most of the positive reviews are likely fake.

Buen área, apoyo instante, la única razón que no es 5 estrellas es porque la cama hacía mucho ruido y el servicio de limpieza nunca me brindaron cuando les pregunté por el. Great location, we received support right away when it was urgent, would stay here again but the only reason we didn’t give it a 5 star was because the bed was extremely loud (I drink a lot of water before sleeping )😂 & when I requested cleaning service as stated, we didn’t receive it unfortunately.
