If you like 1940's era houses with a ton of charm and an artsy vibe, which I do, you'll love this place. Kind of "shabby chic". Surrounded by similar period houses and brick-paved streets, there's a bus stop just outside the gate that takes you to Historic Ybor City neighborhood and within a couple blocks of the Tampa streetcar that goes downtown. Rooms are a bit odd, but in a way that adds to the charm of the place. Kitchen has everything you need, with bottled water dispenser and complimentary Keurig coffee. Everything is very clean. Security is good, with coded locks on the gate, entry door, as well as the bedrooms, but it felt very safe anyway. No vagrants in the area. There is no front desk, but someone will come help you if you require it. Did I mention there's bougainvillea growing beside the rattan rocker on the wraparound porch?

Broke college student adventures

I just picked this place since it was cheap and close to Down Town and then I was traveling solo for a few days before my convention. It had the basics I needed like Shower, and wifi. I can't swim! Do not wear sandals or high heels in this neighborhood because the sidewalks around the area are bad and unstable. Panic!

I was greeted upon arrival and this place has been the best stop on my trip. It's beautiful here. The manager has so many plants that are well taken care of and I really enjoyed the staff and other guests. It's been pleasant and I am definitely coming back again. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

nice interior, and big veranda. Cooking space and bathroom, you can chat with other travelers in the kitchen. Host is very friendly and helpful. I like the palm trees and all the plants around the house. You can hear the motorway but not too loud. Bus stop is opposite the house. You can also walk to the city.

I feel the place was wrongly advertised, I personally didn’t feel safe since I showed up. Regardless, I had to fly home for a family emergency and I was okay with still paying for a couple nights, but was still charged for the full five days of the stay. I understand that they have rules when it comes to cancellation, however this was out of my control, I was just hoping for some more understanding to the situation.
