Traveling as a family of 5 with 2 kids under 10 and 2 elderly parents can be though. We stayed here one night in between flights and for the room last minute. The front desk answered all my parents questions with ease and we got oh room without any issues. Our room was on the second floor, be aware there are no elevators! The room was super spacious and had a working ac system. The location is ideal for walking around. Will definitely be booking with the hotel again in the future

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Posada Don Matías in Oaxaca. The hotel is in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the Zócalo and many of the city’s main attractions. It was the perfect base for exploring Oaxaca’s vibrant markets, historic sites, and amazing food scene. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with recommendations or any requests. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Overall, Hotel Posada Don Matías is a great choice for travelers looking for a well-located, affordable, and charming place to stay in Oaxaca. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

great location and clean but….

The location of the accommodation was excellent. The staff were also very friendly, and the service was great. The facilities themselves were clean and well-maintained. However, the major issue was that my room was unbearably hot and humid. I’m usually not someone who complains about accommodations, but honestly, the heat and humidity in this room were just too much. Also, there was no proper hot water (though to be fair, it was so hot that I didn’t really need it). Other than that, the place was clean.

Très bel endroit sauf pour la SDB

Tout s'est très bien passé, l'hôtel est proche de tout, très calme et agréable, très beau aussi sauf la salle de bains un peu déglinguée mais c'est vrai qu'en entrant dans l'hôtel et la chambre très spacieuse on ne s'attendait pas à une salle de bains aussi vieillotte et en décalage avec le reste.

Excelente ubicación, buena limpieza, atención amable del personal, solo el a/a era un poco molesto ya que tronaba mucho de las ventilas, la mayor parte del tiempo el sonido era tolerable sin embargo es un detalle que no debería de existir, el agua para beber hay que estarla pidiendo, y si abres el agua caliente sale templada y otras veces ligeramente tibia. Son los únicos detalles por lo que no fue excelente.
