Disgusting

We had to check in again at the hotel there was a very large mirror in the hallway that could of fell on anyone, you had to remember a security code to get into the main door and then you had to get a key safe number to get into your room , the bath handle kept falling off, the ceiling had damp coming threw the dirt was terrible, and the cleaning staff were rude and just kept on their phones and didn’t want to help with anything

The 2 ladies were very helpful when we arrived and offered us both a cold glass of processco, which was nice,the hotel room could do with updating abit but overall the X hotel looked after us well.

Avoid this place

Never staying there again. Room was in basement accessed via a very worn outside staircase with rotten hand rail. No where to store clothes, no coat hangers for hanging rail. Broken toilet seat. Blood coloured marks on wall. Walls generally very marked, needs redecorating. Shower riser broken and shower door has a very small opening so if on large side you would never get in it. Everytime the rooms above us used water we could hear the noise of it and the dripping of leaking pipwork. People smoking in shared court yard which had ours and other room windows on, so if that smoke had come into our room we could of been changed £200 for the smell of smoke. They threaten you a £20 per hr charge for late checkout, tjis charge could also apply if you leave rubbish in room or leave it dirty. There is also a hidden charge of £4.97 per person at check-in, which is non refundable. Check-in online and you have to verify yourself and anyone staying with you using photo ID. Avoid at all costs

Pain in the arse to actually get into the hotel. With different door codes. No staff on site. Piles and piles of dirty laundry bagged up outside our actual room down a narrow corridor which was hard to get ourselves and luggage in room. Absolutely filthy nothing like the photos on line. Pubes and stains over bedding, dried blood in bath, bugs and insects everywhere. Stains on carpets that wasn't even hoovered before we arrived. Full dirty bins that we had to empty ourselves. We even went to Tesco's to buy cleaning products as it was just too gross. No storage at all Everything didn't match not even the same length curtains. Everything was wonky, curtain poles. Wonky blinds. Even our small double bed was uneven and wonky, our heads down a slope while it felt like our legs were in the air. My eldest daughter suffers from OCD so thinking I've booked a very stylish clean boutique style room from the photos on line. I couldn't have been more wrong. We had to leave early and cut our stay short. As the lack of cleanliness sent her in a mental spiral. Very noisy at night times. Fire alarm was going off for ages and no stuff on site to check or sort that out. No flooring in the bathroom just splattered paint everywhere. Used chewing gum just spat out of the window seals. Very small cramped rooms for how much we paid for a family room. Very disappointed 😞

rude and poor customer service

Told me the hotel was full and an issue with my room could put me up at a hotel 2 miles away had already paid parking etc an the staff were very rude and slow to help took me an hour in speaking with them on messanger I asked them to phone me to spewed up the process but they told me that not and option only option is to cancel so rude

Below basic at above average cost, apart from the comfortable bed I can think of nothing to recommend this place. More like poor grade airb&b. I travel and walk a lot staying in French hires, shelters and Spanish religious, all much better than X in every respect

Good place to stay

Was in Brighton to see Eric Prydz concert. Needed somewhere straight forward to stay. This hotel is good - Clean, modern and friendly staff. I think the other negative reviews are quite harsh

NIGHTMARE

my experience of booking this accommodation was a nightmare from start to eventual refusal to stay. when i got checked in and shown to my room, which was a supposed upgrade from single ensuite to a double ensuite. the ensuite was not actually in the room, you had to use the bathroom outside the room. [ensuite surely means that the bathroom/shower is inside your room]. needless to say that this was not acceptable! the room i was shown was in the basement, down some external stairs which were quite steep and not very friendly. upon getting back to the reception area, they were unable to provide any other suitable accommodation within the property. they advised that a full refund would be forthcoming, so we will wait and see.

Hotel X is a scam hotel

This is a SCAM hotel. DO NOT BOOK HERE I booked and paid beginning of May. 3 days before reservation in July they wanted more money in fees! 2 hours before we were due to check in they cancelled the reservation. There is no front desk. Everything is communicated only by wattsapp messages. You can’t phone. Hotels.com don’t help either when you reach out to them - which I did about the extra fees. They have all my money. Hotel X replies are all copy and pasted, so they do this constantly.

Brighton weekend 5/6 july

There was no toilet bathroom. Shower was good. Beds were comfortable. There was a TV and coffee maker. Access to room Was complicated but there was someone on hand to help. It was better than I expected as some of the reviews were terrible.

Gammelt slidt hotel - mgl rengøring af gulve ,møbler og bag møbler. Totalt ubrugeligt vindue - en bunke af løst puds/cement pga udfaldent mursten ligger udenfor på vindueskarm. Varmt vandhane helt løs. Kræver istandsættelse omgående.

It was understandable when we tried to cancel that the reservation was non-refundable. The irritation came in when after attempting to cancel, we continued to get check in information. And then, with that information, we found out there would have been more fees and additional requirements that were not in the listing. Again, after cancelling with Expedia, we received WhatsApp communication to checkin. Then received emails asking how was our stay. After trying to cancel, not checking in and not checking out. Poor experience with Expedia and the X Hotel.

After not having a key for our room, we waited 4 hours for locksmith to find it was a double and not twin as booked. Older siblings sharing a room. Would not give us alternative room so got a 3 hour train home. Ruined our weekend

I have read other reviews about this hotel after I had booked it, and those reviews were disgusting. Whatever people expect for the price of this hotel are beyond my reasoning. It was clean, fresh and every amenity in the room for a pleasent stay, which I most definitely had.
