Don’t do it

Where do I start? We booked for an event and when we were out for dinner they called asking us to come back to switch rooms as they gave us the wrong room, which we couldn’t do as we were on time constraints and it seemed to cause an issue. They lock the doors at 10 and there’s a notice to call a number and when we did they didn’t answer our several calls we made to them then when they finally did pick up they informed us we had the key. Isn’t this something that should have been communicated with us at check in so we weren’t standing outside all that time feeling like we were locked out of our rooms? The room itself was dirty, full of cobwebs and smelt like stale cigarettes . Place needs a serious overhaul… Do yourself a favour and bring a tent and stay at the campsite down the road, you will save yourself a couple hundred dollars and won’t be worried about bedbugs.

Hotel in need of overhaul

Hotel was in need of renovations and upgrades. Room was not very clean and had alot of stains and disrepair. No screen on windows. Air was stagnant and lacked circulation. Smelt of mold everywhere.

This property is old and hotel from the 80’s. Lobby closes at 10 pm and does not open in the morning. If get out of the lobby you will be lock out and you will not get. You have to make several calls to get in. Our first room was hot due to defective window AC so we have to move to another room. We cut short our stay from three nights to two nights instead.

This was a nice, quiet, comfortable place to stay on our roadtrip to Tofino. After a few unpleasant nights in Duncan, thia was a huge step for a much better price. Will ve stating here again.

On checkout, keys are left in a bowl at the front desk for anyone to access. Someone can go in and damage the room or steal and the guest could be held liable.

Room was basically clean. The very old small air conditioner didn’t work. Other rooms were looked at and the the same shoddy old Window small units. The staff guy was friendly but hardly spoke English that was understandable. Don’t stay here. Just horrible experience.
