Hotellet lå utrolig centralt og tæt på både shopping, restauranter og cable car ned til stranden. Personalet var super søde og behjælpelige! Vi blev lidt skuffede over poolen, da den så meget større (og renere) ud på nettet - men overordnet er super godt hotel!

A bit basic at the moment

We stayed in a family room. It was clean and beds were comfortable. Good air conditioning. However, there wasn't enough storage for clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases. Bathroom was dated with shower over bath, poor water pressure and temperature kept changing by itself. Breakfast was buffet and great variety and plentiful. Location great, close to the cable car and just off the Corsa Umberto for great choice of restaurants and shops. Staff is what makes this place, they were amazing, full of knowledge and so helpful.

Catfished! Very upsetting

Upon checking into the room, I was immediately struck by the poor state of the accommodation. The room contained visible mould — both in the main area and bathroom — along with cracked and damaged bathroom tiles. These conditions are entirely unacceptable and far from the standard that was marketed and paid for. Despite this, I attempted to make the most of my stay and assumed this may have been an isolated case. I then visited the hotel pool, only to find it in an appalling and unusable condition. The pool contained deep-rooted algae, raising serious concerns about the hygiene and safety standards upheld by your property. When I brought this to the attention of your staff, I was informed that maintenance might attend to it the following day — further confirming that no adequate routine maintenance is being conducted. (No maintenance ever came) This is not only disappointing, but entirely unacceptable, especially considering access to a functioning pool was a key factor in choosing this hotel. Additionally, the room provided did not include the balcony that was clearly listed and paid for at the time of booking. I was informed that a "proper" room would be available on Tuesday — several days into my stay — which defeats the purpose of the reservation entirely. We were moved and the room was somewhat better but over was very disappointed in my experience. Only credit I can give is the staff were very lovely.

Nice little hotel with pool. Though changed hands last Nov so restaurant and bar not yet open. Management, upon our request, changed our room to a larger room which was really great of the. Breakfast simple but plentiful. Staff (all). very friendly and helpful. We have stayed at this hotel over 6 times now 2022/23. 2024 they were booked and this year 2025. Was great to get back to a place you can call home. Good bang for the buck, or Euro! I would like to personal thank the management for making our stay and wonder week in Taormina! The location and staff were excellent. Being close to the main pedestrian street it did have considerable noise at night and the city began "waking up" around 5:30, which shortened our sleep. Breakfast was also pretty good.

I stayed at Hotel Piccolo in Taormina and unfortunately had a very poor experience from start to finish. We were first placed in Room 108, where the air conditioning unit was leaking, the balcony door wouldn’t lock (which felt unsafe), and the shower backed up with visible mold. We also noticed that walking barefoot in the room left our feet completely black — clearly, the floor hadn’t been cleaned properly. We were then moved to Room 401 on the top floor, but the elevator was broken, so we had to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs. That room smelled strongly of sewage, had urine left in the toilet when we arrived, and the shower gurgled loudly for long periods. Again, our feet turned black walking around the room. After showering, my girlfriend developed a sore throat and wheezing, which we believe was caused by poor air quality or mold. Despite raising these issues with the hotel staff, they refused to offer any refund or take responsibility. With no real solution offered, we ended up booking another hotel across the street for the rest of our stay at our own expense. Taormina is beautiful, but this hotel was a major letdown. Poor hygiene, unclean rooms, and a complete lack of support from staff — I would not recommend Hotel Piccolo to anyone.

Staff was generally really nice and helpful. Breakfast was good with healthy alternatives to the sweets traditionally served for breakfast in the area. Rooms are small and the bathroom was worn with the toilet leaking (clean) water and a total lack of water pressure in the shower. The rooftop area is fine but the pool is a lot smaller than in the pictures. Public parking is 600 meters away, and stopping near the hotel to drop off your baggage is a challenge. Stop at the NH hotel, drop off luggage and then take the car to the parking. Do not drive down the little street of the hotel unless you have a relatively small car and you love reversing in very narrow streets with parked motor bikes on one side and a massive stone wall on the other :-). The hotel is not expensive so I'd say there is a reasonable balance between price and quality.

Amazing staff and excellent location to all the shopping and restaurants. Very good breakfast options and a wonderful outdoor courtyard to enjoy morning coffee and breakfast. Can’t say enough about how well we were treated and the restaurant recommendations provided. Will be back to Taormina and will definitely be staying at the Hotel Piccolo Giardino.

Really enjoyed staying here. Staff were really friendly when we checked in. Buffet breakfast in the morning was really nice. Left our luggage there on the last day so we could explore. Room was a good size, nice balcony, kept really clean and had a nice shower.
