The hotel is very disappointing. It looks nice in the pictures but doesn't meet expectations. It's certainly not 'boutique'. It needs a complete refurbishment. The bathroom is dirty, there are stains, discolouring, mould. There was sellotape evident on the shower door, the towel rail is loose. There is no hot water so showers were uncomfortable. Does that represent boutique to you? Staff don't speak English well, some don't speak it at all. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything your neighbour is doing. It was also quite a surprise that the downstairs rooms are right next to reception desk so don't expect peace and quiet! It's just an awful setup to have rooms so close to the desk. When we checked in there's no information about anything, it was just a case of letting us into the room and that was it. There's no information about breakfast, cleaning schedules etc. I think there should also be notices up to tell guests to consider others, because some guests were very loud slamming doors and speaking very loudly with zero consideration for others. The cleaning is very lackluster, I don't expect perfection but the amount of dust behind the TV shows the lack of care and love the staff have towards the guests and the property itself. Also, why even bother having a TV when the signal doesn't work properly on any channels? I would never stay at this place again, if they want to keep such poor standards then they need to drop the prices significantly.
