Habitaciones amplias y limpias. Desayuno tipo buffet muy chiquitito pero con productos locales y caseros. Entorno muy tranquilo. Rubén nos acogió muy bien y el personal que estaba en el comedor muy amable también

I’ve stayed in a couple of different properties in São Miguel and I could honestly say that this was the best hotel on the island. The sweetest part of the hotel were the hosts Caroline, Ali, Ruben and the rest of the team. I can’t wait to go back again!

This estate exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by Ruben, which was the most welcoming check in we have ever received. We stayed in the renovated barn room which was large & comfortable. The estate is tucked away on a hilltop with beautiful views. It’s been renovated beautifully, but keeping interesting features such as its original doors & tile. The gin library in particular was a special surprise. It’s one of the largest in Europe with over 1,400 types of gin. We looked forward to gin o clock everyday where guests get a drink on the house each day. Lemon & Ricardo were extremely friendly and made us feel right at home. They are very passionate about what they do and every day was an exciting & entertaining experience. Everything at the estate is farm to table. The fruits are grown on site and the pastries are homemade. The breakfast was the best we had on the island and we looked forward to it every morning. I wish I could purchase the home made jams, they were the BEST! The location was a great base, away from the hustle & bustle of ponta del Gada but close enough if you’d like to visit! Everything was just a short ride away from all the other main touristy spots. We would stay here again! Outstanding hospitality!!

It is beautiful lodging with delicious healthy breakfast, fabulous sushi dinner available and the fun Gin library bar. The location is good for exploring the island by car as it is on eastern edge of town, but still close to drive to restaurants in Ponta Delgado

I couldn't recommend a better place to stay

I booked this stay after hearing my friend's recommendation about this place. And now having been there, I couldn't have found a better place to stay. Ali and Caroline were super responsive, friendly, and the best hosts. Everything from check-in to check-out was very smooth. Complimentary drinks from Gin Library was amazing and it was also a great time to meet other travelers. Room was extremely clean and you could tell a lot of thought was put in making the space an exceptional stay.

This is the most memorable property my wife and I have ever stayed at. We rented The Ruin and pictures don't do it justice. The entire estate was absolutely stunning, the people were like friends immediately, and the attention to caring for the clientele was unmatched. And that's not even considering the gin, which may have been the best part! Caroline and Ali and their team are the best, and we will definitely be back!

Das Solar ist ein Traum. Ruhig gelegen mit einer wunderschönen Anlage mit selbst angebauten Obst und Gemüse. Das Frühstück ist liebevoll zubereitet mit regionalen Köstlichkeiten. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und perfekt ausgestattet. Highlights sind die Ginbar und eine der besten Matratze, auf der ich je geschlafen habe.

It was very nice experience. They have very nice Gin. For the Gin fan definitely need to visit their gin library. Also Ali and Ruben were so friendly and helpful. We had wonderful time there!
