The bathroom wasn’t cleaned. I don’t mean that it wasn’t cleaned well, I mean it wasn’t cleaned at all. There was a used bar of soap on the sink, with the wrapper thrown in the sink basin. The bathtub was visibly dirty and there was a woman’s hair scrunchie thing in the soap dish. Towels were restocked but they left a nearly empty toilet paper roll. Someone also did a bad caulking job on the tub and there was mold growing on the caulking.
The mattress was hard and there were only three pillows on a king size bed. Explain to me how three pillows get divided between two people. The bed creaked and made twanging spring noises every time I got up. I did sleep pretty well despite the constant sound of my neighbors opening and closing their doors in the hallway.
I get that it’s a Motel 6 and it’s not going to be a luxury property, but how bad would it be for their bottom line to have a fourth pillow? Or an air conditioner that works correctly?
This is also one of those places where you have to put your key card in a little slot by the door to make the lights work. I didn’t see it right away and the guy at the front desk never said anything about it, so I took my first leak with a flashlight.
How does this place have an 8.4 user rating? You people who gave a 10/10 rating, you understand that 10/10 is exceptional, right? Do you know what exceptional means? Set a higher bar. This is a two-star motel— no one expects it to be exceptional. We just expect them to clean the bathroom
