great location and beautiful room

we had a late night "let your self in" check-in , the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. the room was big and comfortable with a kitchen and small fridge with beverages and bottled water. the location is superb and makes most of the site seeing walking distance. there are lovely cafes right out side the hotel so we barley used the kitchen. i strongly recommend

We arrived at 14h25 and the receptionist announced check in was at 15h there was some maintenance to be done. The tone was very rude and for a toilet seat to be fixed we were refused access to the room. Check out is at 10 which seems early. I don't understand why they need 5 hours between guests. Reception is only until 19h and the hotel does reply to SMS or emails. Receptionist was super rude. They offer courtesy umbrella ☔ but they are broken. Maybe 3 for all guests. Over services are very poor.

The first room had an obvious mouldy/damp scent, which we couldn’t overpower with air fresheners. Furthermore, there were black streaks of mould in the cabinets and along the walls. We managed to get another room after complaining, the next room wasn’t in the basement but was smaller (which was fine). However, due to a larger room becoming available we were asked the switch rooms again. To a room identical with the first, but without being situated in the basement and riddled with mould. From there the stay was uneventful. The moudly room has a bicycle themed decor, but there a multiple identical rooms, so be aware of that.
