What a gorgeous little hotel! Private terrace, a pool to cool off in, and right in the middle of the beautiful old town. Staff incredibly attentive and helpful, and they had a special offer on spa treatments which we enjoyed whilst there.

Great historic building updated to feel sophisticated, modern, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, the bar and cocktail areas were great too. Staff were helpful and friendly. The location is right in the heart of the old city so it was a bit noisy at night but that was a small price to pay for such a lovely hotel.

A Good Idea
A very nice hotel in the heart of old town Girona. The location was perfect in order to appreciate the main parts of the old town. The hotel management was charming and assisted when necessary. This is a distinct complex that represents the beauties of midieval Girona. The breakfast was a treat and the areas available for dining all had memorable beauties.

Beautiful hotel and excellent location.
The thing that makes the hotel exceptional are the staff who cannot do enough for you.
The interior design is really well done mixing timeless classics and contemporary in the hotels medieval bones.
Personally I am not a huge fan of glass boxes for showers and loo areas but all stylishly done.
Also within easy walking distance to the rail station if you want to explore further. Great hotel and we will return

One thing - if you use Google maps it will take you up a tiny street you cannot turn around in. I dropped off my partner and then was committed to a very slow 20 minute drive through small alleyways with pedestrians to find the way out and parking. It was just a 6-minute walk downhill back to the hotel but still kind of a stressful experience. Not the hotel's fault... Hotel and rooms are awesome. Just don't drive to the front door.

The staff was multi-lingual, helped with our luggage when we arrived early and help make dinner recommendations. The design and interiors were very nice. We loved the cold plunge pool and courtyard. Only suggestion: the rooms and patios can use some hooks for hanging towels, swimsuits, etc. The breakfast was so beautifully presented and very much appreciated for our 50 km bike ride to St. Feliu de Guixols

Good not great
Generally a good experience with a few flaws. A lot of facts about the hotel work well but service is a little spotty.
Two examples came up: the first was that the roof deck area was not always open for breakfast. When I checked in they asked for an approximate time for breakfast which I provided. That time was within the roof deck's opening hours. I was not asked if I wanted indoor or outdoor. When I went to the roof to have breakfast I was told that I had to go downstairs as reservations had to be made for the roof breakfast (though no one was there). This was all just very strange - It's fine if there's a system but you need to tell people what it is.
Second example: My stay was on a whim because my train back to Barcelona was cancelled. As a result I only had my daytime clothes. Nothing too casual but more daytime than night time appropriate. When I came back from doing some exploring I thought to have a cocktail in the bar in the courtyard. Since I was coming from outside the hotel it was not immediately obvious I was a guest. The host gave me a sort of condescending sorry we don't have space at first. When I asked if they had any tables held for hotel guests the manner completely changed. They did not have anything outside so I ultimately skipped the drinks, but it rubs me a bit the wrong way when there's this sort of phoney exclusivity. Not very pleasant.

Perfect start to our trip
Stopped in Girona for 3 nights to start our trip. It spoiled us for sure. the staff was above attentive and super flexible. Breakfast was amazing. The location could not have been better. Add to that a comfortable, elegant room and beautiful common areas and it made a perfect stay!
