My 9-day stay at the Hampton Inn Times Square was awful. You can literally wait 10-15 or more minutes for elevators, making you late for engagements. The King by is very small but always crowded with people waiting to get on elevators or check/in out. The fire alarm sounded on two different occasions. The rooms are so tiny, you can’t properly use the desk chair. The bath is the size of a closet. My room was only cleaned once during a nine-day stay.

This is a perfect location for going to see shows. Can walk easily to a lot of theaters. Would even book again to just see shows. Checking in went smoothly but would have loved a little more guidance, elevator was a little tricky and I couldn’t hear the girl behind the counter because she was so soft spoken. It honestly would’ve been great to have been given a map of Times Square or told where the closest subway entrance was. The room was very clean. The breakfast was amazing even at the tail end the food was warm and nothing was out. We went down at 9:30/9:45 and it closed at 10:00 and we were welcomed. Not pushed out. They were very appropriately staffed for the morning and they worked like a royal Caribbean dining room staff. Tables were cleared and cleaned off immediately. Even with some construction of the lobby it did not get in the way of our stay.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the Theater District. We were able to walk to all of the Broadway shows that we had planned this weekend. I enjoyed that they have free breakfast and they had quite a selection offered. The only thing that I would complain about is the elevator situation. Sometimes you have to wait up to 15 minutes for a elevator during busy times. And being on the 30th floor I definitely was not going to take the stairs!

For a hotel so close to Times Square, there was little noise heard in the room. The room itself was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast had good variety and plenty of food. The elevators were a nightmare. One was apparently down. The hotel uses the system where you enter your floor on a pad, and you are then directed to a particular elevator. Some elevators ended up being overcrowded while other left with few people on them. You have to build in travel time get to and from your room because elevators take forever to arrive, and you may have to wait for the next one due to how full the arriving one is. It's a shame because this is a great property otherwise.

Very good value for its type and price. Great location! Generous and varied breakfast buffet, but take their warnings about busy times and elevators seriously! We walked down 31 floors of stairs with our bags because we were trying to leave at 10 am and we wasted 15 minutes waiting for an elevator that wasn’t already subway-at-rush-hour full!

Rummet något trångt, svårt att få plats med större resväska. Badrum med skjutdörrar och går inte att låsa. Frukost godkänd, men för priset man betalar ganska dålig om man ska jämföra med svensk standard för det priset. Finns inga pålägg alternativ i form av skinka, ost grönsaker osv. Hade otur med ombyggnationer så runt lobbyn var byggarbetsplats. Vilket var väldigt stressigt och högljutt när man vistades i lobbyn. Personalen bra och trevlig. Betalade för läget som var så centralt det kunde bli på Times Square.

We chose this hotel for its location and it didn't disappoint in that respect. Perfectly walkable to all the theaters and Times Square. Close to the subway and great restaurants. The staff were helpful but busy--it was very hard to talk to someone without waiting a while at the reception desk. I ended up just calling the front desk. I was traveling with my aunt who is elderly and the elevators were so packed in the morning with no instructions for what to do if you have accessibility needs. She ended up walking down 10 flights so we could get to breakfast. Speaking of which, breakfast was very crowded with no rhyme or reason to it--no place to line up so everyone is just everywhere. Again, it was hard to find someone when you had a question about breakfast foods or allergens. There is no parking, so we parked a couple of blocks away and walked. I would recommend this hotel overall with those caveats.
