The hotel is beautiful, very atmospheric, and the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful.
The bathroom (room 10) had a glass shelf above the sink, which I bumped my head on twice while brushing my teeth - I couldn't see it because it was glass. This is quite dangerous and should be removed.
The breakfast was good, although some more fresh fruit would be nice. We stayed the following night at a Premier Inn, where the breakfast was freshly cooked to order, which is what we would expect for an upmarket hotel like the Old Hall.
