Cost efficient - think Travelodge
Did a job for a 1 night solo stopover but very tired room (11) Could also hear every single movement from the room above.

Quirky little gem of a hotel
Love this little gem of a hotel. Quirky and all the rooms are very different but always comfortable. Staff are always very helpful and welcoming and breakfast and wifi is included which is a nice touch at this price range. Don't expect 5* or a perfectly maintained hotel but you will have a comfortable and great value stay in a nice location with plenty of free parking.

unfortunate
this stay is misleading. the Jersey arms is not a public house, it does not do meals, and the layout is cramped but adequate.

Do not belueve the pictures
Not what we were expecting. Pictures portray a country pub in the cotswolds. In reality this is a very rundown buIlding which was once a pub giving an amateurish attempt at a B&B.

A stay of 2 halves
A tale of2 halves, first night the room we stayed in was not great, see photos. Second night we were moved to another room which was so much better. Staff were so helpful, couldn’t fault them. I agree both with the 1 star and 5 star reviews that I’ve seen, it’s all dependent on the room you are in. Make sure you don’t pick a standard room! Saying all that I would stay again, it’s not far from Bicester village and there are some lovely pubs nearby. Breakfast is basic, but ok, just pastries, toast and yoghurt

Good parking opposite
The Jersey Arms was nice, old and full of character though no mention of bar & restaurant being closed for refurbishing! Staff were very helpful and rooms were very clean though bed not very comfy on mattress though nice to include simple breakfast although I don’t participate but my friend did

Checked out almost immediately
The room was not well cleaned, there was no working bar and I started to feel itchy.
The room was single glazing next to a busy road.
Shortly after check-in, I checked out and went to another hotel.

Lovely Stay at The Jersey Arms
I had a lovely stay. The location was perfect for me and the receptionist or manager was really helpful and thoughtful. He gave me a room with a bath as requested, helped carry my luggage and provided a quiet space for a conference call with tea and coffee. I couldn’t fault the service. And an ample continental breakfast was included in the room rate.

Jersey Arms
It was easy to find and the car park had a clear sign. The reception was also clearly signed. The receptionist was welcoming.
The room was superficially clean but when I turned over the pillow there were black dots all over it. The bed was nicely presented but when I untucked it the sheets were still damp.
The en-suite was a good size but the whole toilet wobbled from the base, when you sat on it.
I accidentally went to the wrong room, my key opened the door fine - a shock to me and the relaxing occupants. Thankfully the room door had chains on the inside.
I would’ve reported this but there was no one around in the morning.

Another place charging excessive amount for a dog
Friendly staff. The room and bedding was clean. Continental breakfast was satisfactory.
Disappointed that there was not a bar or evening meal available. All in not bad value for less than £60
The downside was thenow ubiquitous charge for our dog.
£20 for what? Nothing. He has his own bed, his own food, doesn't shed hair. This is becoming all to common now

OK for a lay over but don’t expect much
Guy on reception friendly. Car park is across from a very busy road. You take your life in your hands! Building quaint but very run down. Continual breakfast was probably the poorest fare I have ever been offered. Traffic very noisy, no air con so don’t stay in hot weather.

Do not stay here.
The outside of this hotel looks pretty but inside very dated, run down and dirty. Every wall we saw was grubby and dusty. Our bedroom was rundown and the bathroom. There was a light bulb hanging from the ceiling having fallen out. The bed was a disgrace. The mattress had collapsed on one side so was like sleeping on a flat spring. The other side was broken towards the end of the bed too. The breakfast was very basic. No staff at desk to raise these issues

Disappointed that the pub part of the hotel is closed, but advised as open. Very run down such a shame as it could be a beautiful place. Stair way to the room was very smelly. The room was ok but could have been looked after a little more. Bathroom not the cleanest.

Avoid.
Felt like I have been catfished by the website. This place has sadly seen much much better days. What a dump this was the door to the room and it didn’t get much better. I bought a clean towel to see me through. I unfortunately couldn’t change my booking otherwise I would have in a heart beat

Do NOT book!
I didn't stay!! The first room I was offered as I opened the door the smell of stale cigarettes hit me so I asked for another room. We were shown to another room and after spending 5 minutes in that room, the smell of plug in air freshener was too over powering it caused an asthma attack. The Hotel was nothing like pictured and was probably the worst looking and smelling hotel ever. I ended up staying somewhere else at great expense after refusing and unable to stay here. I will be looking for a full refund.
