The hotel has a musty smell as soon as you walk in the building. Our room was just as bad. The room was dirty. My husband had to clean the remote because it was sticky. The dresser was sticky and the filters in the ac unit looked like it has never been changed The faucet in the tub was leaking water the whole time. The breakfast was ok. The yogurt was day expired. We will not stay there again especially with the much better options next door.

Disappointing

Very convenient ti the ECU Medical Center but very run down. Vending machines didn't work, furniture was in bad shape, hallways needed paing snd new woodwork, etc, etc. Beds were clean snd comfortable and we were only there for one night, but would not rebook. We have stayed at other Microtels that were amazing but this was a disappointment for sure.

Never Again

It was terrible. The room was dirty, bed linens dirty, roaches crawling in the bathroom, and the door wouldn’t close unless you slam it shut. Their website states that they accept support pets and when I brought my support pet I was told that I needed to find another hotel. The clerk was persist about finding another hotel even when I told and showed her that the hotel website stated that support pets are welcomed. After about 20 mins later she decided that we could check into the room with our support pet

Worst night ever

Non smoking room that smelled of old stale smoke. At one time it must have been a smoking room but the stale smell is still in everything. None of the ceiling lights worked. I made the mistake of leaving a switch up and it turned on during the night. You couldn't touch the TV remote it felt so dirty, the screen of the TV was filthy. There was a pad over the AC, under the window, that was so stained I wouldn't even set my shoes on it. The bathroom wall was stained with what looked like snot. After a shower, rehanging the towel I noticed it had brown stains on it. Made me sick. Only lights that worked were the flourescent over the bed. The woman at the front desk was terrible. She told us to sit and wait when checking in because she was working on the couple ahead of us. Actually told us she had to call the owner to come clean about seven rooms to fulfill reservations. There was nothing professional in her appearance and she coughed so bad. Needless to say, I never slept a wink and couldn't wait to get out of there. Don't let the pretty outside of the building fool you. There is nothing pretty on the inside.

Run down and dirty.

The hotel is incredibly dirty and run down. It smells and the carpets don't look like they've been cleaned in years. I stayed here a little over a year ago and it wasn't close to this bad. It's definitely gone downhill.

Not clean!

Hotel carpets, elevator, and hallways were filthy. Entire facility smelled like stale smoke. My door handle felt like it was going to fall off and the mattress was covered in stains. Check-in team was friendly but cannot make up for condition of rooms and common areas. Kept my shoes on in my room and slept on top on the sheets for the whole stay.

Well, we got in the room. We had no ice machine so I decided to take a nap. There was a baby shower with about 75 people on the same first floor and they had children grown-up just so loud you had to literally walk through this party to get out the building
