Not warm and welcoming customer service
The Horizon Inn is under new management and they have signs all over the walls and doors telling the guests what is permitted. It does not feel warm and welcoming like it has in the past. Breakfast food is only served in the dining room. I have never been to a hotel where they will not allow guests to take food to your room to eat. It is NOT a buffet. The food included was eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy. I was stopped by the front desk staff to not take the food to my room. The pool is closed for construction and the gym looked like it was under construction also. The new management needs to work on their customer service especially for this midwestern community.
