Can’t Find Your Reservation
On 8/9, walked into the lobby to check in, just to be told that they don’t see my reservation. I showed them the confirmation email with the right date, right address and the amount I am expected to pay. They still can’t find my reservation. They managed to find a room for us, but when I asked if it’s going to be the same price, they told us that they can’t “price match” per policy. They up-charged our stay.
Here’s an idea: go over policy on how to troubleshoot third party reservations. No one wants more points in compensation if there is no chance of trusting IHG in the future.
Even when you do the right thing, it’s always customers who have to pay for consequences.
