The rooms are beautiful, with exposed stone walls and steel beams that give it so much character. The beds are incredibly soft, and the shower feels downright luxurious. If I had to point out one downside, it would be the old-school elevator—but as a New Yorker, I figured it wouldn’t hurt me to slow down for once! The staff was amazing: friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Gaspar, the onsite restaurant, was fantastic as well. The location couldn’t be better. We walked to great restaurants, the market, Bota Bota spa, and grabbed a quick Uber to the Christmas Village artisan market. We enjoyed an unforgettable steak dinner right across the street at Vieux Port Steakhouse, and loved our meal at Gaspar too. The receptionist also recommended Montreal Poutine—another perfect pick. An all-around wonderful stay. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

We love the feel of this hotel. Its location is great if you plan to walk in Old Montréal. The two restaurants provide excellent options and there are many others nearby. The winding hallway was a pleasure to navigate each day. And the staff are superb.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the Auberge du Vieux-Port. The location was perfect, right in the middle of Old Montreal, with all of its charm and history, essentially walking distance from restaurants, shopping, etc. The staff was exceptional, continually going out of their way to make we were taken care of/had everything we needed for our stay. Staring with the front desk, Terry greeted us upon arrival, and then walked us to his recommended restaurant for lunch. Bleeze, the reception supervisor, got us into the fully booked Gaspar restaurant, after a long day trip to Quebec City. And the Gaspar staff was amazing. Bottom line, highly recommended, and we would not stay anywhere else when future trips take us to Montreal.

Enjoyed our stay immensely! Very welcoming and friendly staff. We received a free room which was super. Three hotel restaurants including a roof top one with great atmosphere. Very comfy beds, gorgeous smelling le labo toiletries and a complimentary bottle of wine! What more could one ask!
