We stayed one night at Best Western Hotel Dom Bernardo during a 24-hour stopover in Faro while travelling from Seville to Lisbon by bus and train. The hotel was exactly as advertised – clean, comfortable, and very budget-friendly.
There’s a small bar and restaurant on site serving an adequate breakfast, which was convenient before heading out. The hotel is a little out of the main tourist centre, so it’s not the best choice if you want to be right in the middle of the action (and the walk could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues). That said, it was only about a 15-minute walk to both the bus and train stations, which made it very practical for our journey.
We also had time to take a short morning ferry over to Ilha do Farol, which was a real treat – a beautiful beach escape so close to the city.
Overall, this hotel is a solid choice for a stopover or a budget-friendly stay in Faro.
