Customer service was not good + Line to check in took hours + unable yo make dinner reservations at any of the restaurants that weren’t the buffet. Water park was closed two of the days we were there (without advance notice). Wouldn’t go back. Room was good and property was pretty with awesome animals.

El hotel es muy grande, es bonito hay varias opciones para comer, los puntos de mejora es la limpieza no fueron a limpiar mi cuarto 2 dias seguidos y llame y no iban. En cuanto a los restaurantes solo tienes derecho a 3 noches para reservar, los shows son buenos, las albercas bien pero la de niños muy rasposo el piso.

Best resort in Riviera Maya for the price

Best hotel we have stayed in Riviera Maya for the price. Night shows were amazing, food exceeded expectations and kids water park was a plus. We would definitely return to this resort.

Me parece terrible que los coaties se alimenten de los botes de basura, es una pena! Igualmente, se suben en las mesas a comer todo lo que deja la gente de alimento, porque los Meseros no recogen rápido y los huéspedes no tienen conciencia de no dejar los alimentos allí disponibles. Me da mucha pena por la fauna silvestre, que está enfermando al comer comida procesada. Deberían hacer algo positivo al respecto, sin dañarlos.

I took my family of 4 for our last vacation of the summer. I was hesitant because the reviews made it seem like not a great place, but at least for my family that was not true at all. The food at the buffet was great, the food at the two restaurants we tried was also great and I Didn't have any trouble making reservations. There were so many things to do, we went to the waterpark a few times, its not huge but having it available for the kids was great. We caught a few shows and really enjoyed the Saturday games market thing. The staff was super pleasant and helpful. The room was fine; I will say that the pictures do make the rooms seem larger than they really are but not a big deal. Overall, a 10/10 experience for my family. I guess if you didn't have kids I would say this isn't the place for you.

We chose the adults select club option for Sandos Caracol Eco. The adult pool and beach were empty of kids most times and the there were not many adults either. A bit of an annoyance was the open air restaurant in the adult pool area, opens for families at night. So you could be swimming/lounging peacefully in the evening and have families with rowdy kids come walk by and hang around while waiting to eat. The pool cleaner also came and kicked us out earlier than the sign said the pool closed. Evidently the website is more up to date than the sign at the pool. The beach and ocean were rocky and not worth playing on or swimming in but it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL to sit and read and listen to the soft beats played by the live DJ. That beautiful experience however was constantly interrupted by the pushy massage sales from the independent sellers that have their station popped up right next to the edge of the Sandos property. Once we chose to get a massage they did start leaving us alone for that day but it was constantly saying NO to many different people about the same items. This is the main reason I will look to stay at another resort next time. The restaurant by the adult pool had the best service for breakfast and lunch but the birds were constantly flying in and landing on the buffet so we wouldn't eat that, just chose made to order cooked items, def didn't want to be sick on our trip. The drinks were ok, nothing fancy. No condiments or rims on drinks (we did tip).

Très bon hôtel implanté dans un environnement et une flore magnifiques. Plusieurs animaux dans le complexe (ratons laveurs, coatis, singes araignées, …). Il y a également une petite ferme avec des animaux (ânes, cochons, moutons, lapins, …). C’est vraiment top pour les enfants. Les chambres sont spacieuses, rénovées et propres. L’aquapark est très bien pour les enfants. Les personnes de la conciergerie et de la réception sont très professionnels. Du personnel passe sans arrêt à la plage ou à la piscine pour servir les clients. L’hôtel est bien entretenu, nous avons vu plusieurs ouvriers entretenir les parties collectives. Il y a suffisamment de transats avec les différentes piscines et y compris à la plage. Des activités sont proposées chaque jour. Il y a un très beau cenote (petit lac) et une rivière où il est possible de faire un peu de snorkelling. Bravo pour les spectacles, il y a une belle programmation avec de vrais artistes ! Mention spéciale aux acrobates de Elite circus, un spectacle impressionnant. Le kids club est très bien pour les enfants. Les 2 points négatifs : - la piscine principale (près de la plage) avec le pool bar est très sale, l’eau était tellement opaque qu’on ne distinguait plus les marches. - la restauration : malgré l’effort fait pour proposer des thèmes différents chaque soir, la nourriture n’était pas bonne. Les plats ne sont pas variés. Et gros bémol, les fruits sont découpés avec le même couteau que la charcuterie (ils sont imprégnés du goût).

Property grounds were amazing with jungle like atmosphere, Myan ruins, multi walking trails (one underground), beautiful scenery, cenotes and wildlife. There is a family of 29 spider monkeys that life at the resort along with a small zoo of rescue animals and cats. My family never had a problem getting a lounge chair at waterpark, any pool, or at the beach. Food was better than expected for an all-inclusive resort. Every staff member i encountered was super nice and accommodating. We stayed in Building #78, nestled in the jungle area yet only a 3 minute walk to lobby, and 6-8 minute walk to the beach. The check-in process was fairly slow and backed up at 3pm. I really liked the room setup with bunk beds for the kiddos and balcony overlooking a cenote with daily spider monkey visits. My only complaint per se was the lack of hot water while taking a shower. While we dont ever visit the same place twice, I would definitively go back.

Property was awesome and everything within walking distance, the whole site lost power for around 2.5 days so back up generators had to power everything, not what you wanted to hear running all day

The experience was overall ok. I loved the animal sightings and the staff was friendly. My issue was the food was ok and my rooms sliding door latch was broken. Rooms are small also. But this is a kid friendly place so that’s always a plus 👍

Very disappointing!!!!! Oussed off staff who don’t want to help you, limitations on restaurants, hard to get reservations, not good drinks, moody bartenders, dirty pool (smaller than it looks), seaweed in muggy beach and small beach. Very disappointing!!!!
