We requested an accessible room. I never received notice that the request would not be possible so I could make other arrangements. My father-in-law is unable to get into a bathtub. He must have a walk-in shower with a seat.
In addition we pulled the covers down in our double queen room to find blood and either chocolate or feces on the sheets.
I went to the front desk to see if we could get the sheets changed. The girl managing the front desk was shocked by the fact that housekeeping would let this happen. She was the only person on shift that night. I asked if she could give me the sheets so I could change them and bring her the dirty linens. She was very accommodating and saddened by the situation.
The next afternoon the manager called while I was in the shower. He indicated that he wanted to refund one of the rooms and asked if I could come down to see him. When I got down there, his intention was not to refund one of the rooms. He was going to refund the room and apply it to another one of their hotels so we could have an accessible bathroom for the second night.
I told him no that we already drove 26 miles to my son’s house so my father-in-law could shower before my son‘s wedding. When I told him about the incident the night before… he blew it off and said he would refund me half for the second room. He was very arrogant. We will never stay at another choice brand hotel again. I doubt I will see the refund!
