The place LOOKS very good (once inside). Admittedly the neighborhood is sketchy, parking is messy, and getting comfortable takes some getting used to once you look from the window and see abandoned, boarded-up buildings.
Nevertheless, what’s most important to me – at home, or anywhere I temporarily make home – is comfort.
THERE IS NO COMFORT IN THIS PLACE WITH ITS PAPER-THIN WALLS.
All you need is any guests other than you, and it’s a wrap! You literally can hear conversations comfortably at regular speaking decibels, so imagine what our night was like after two hours-ish of sleep, with a group of intoxicated clubbers returning at 2:17am, who talked and yelled and wrestled and giggled until 6:40am? That’s what we had to listen to ALL. NIGHT. LONG!
We couldn’t even use the tv as a distraction and possibly lessen the disturbance of the thin walls -- because they didn’t work. According to the 3E Real Estate Team, it wasn’t important. They did nothing. They didn’t seek to address it until we abandoned the room and found a hotel that had a QUIET space where we DID sleep, TVs that worked, and a shower that didn’t leave the bathroom sopping wet (I guess my hint was when I asked about the shower after seeing it from the picture, the reply was “Our showers are all ADA compliant.”)
We traveled to attend a Steeler’s game at home. We’re sure we’ll be back to Pittsburgh. We’re also sure we will NOT make the mistake of booking this property again!
